USDA Sends Agricultural Trade Mission to Peru

The delegation is seeking to expand export opportunities for U.S. agricultural products.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced a delegation to Peru for a trade mission that began on Monday. The delegation will focus on the cultivation of future trade deals with the South American country, which is currently the fourth-largest market for U.S. agricultural exports in South America and relies on the U.S. as its second-largest agricultural supplier.

“USDA is committed to enhancing export opportunities for American farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses,” said Foreign Agricultural Service Administrator Daniel Whitley, who is leading the mission. “This trade mission will connect U.S. producers with key buyers in South America, improving economic opportunities, supporting rural prosperity, and keeping American agricultural products globally competitive.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Administrator Whitley as he heads the USDA trade delegation to Peru.
  • For U.S. officials as they promote American products to foreign nations.
  • For President Trump and members of his trade team as they seek new agreements with foreign partners.
